This photo is focused and edited very well. It is meaniful becuase it has a dark feeling to it and my freind sam is also in the picture. It works becuase edited or not edited Sam is dark and that is where the siloute works.
This photo is distorted... it looks like it is pulled wider or squashed down. Poor Sam! Sometimes the photo reflects the photographer's mood or personality more so than the subject's. The lines work well because they frame her from the top and bottom. It could be better if the people in the background were blurred out, because they are becoming a part of her body visually in the photo. It would also help if she weren't dead center. Try keeping things out of the center, it will make your composition more interesting.
